A letter of motivation, about one page: why this bachelor's program, why TU Delft, what in your school record and activities shows you are ready for a demanding engineering degree (mathematics and physics especially), and what you want to do with it. Address it to the program you are applying to; TU Delft reads it for fit and for numerus fixus ranking. Confirm the current wording and limit on tudelft.nl/en/education/admission-and-application before you write — universities revise these each cycle.
Non-EU deadline: Jan 15 for numerus fixus programs (with the selection procedure), Apr 1 for the rest. Selection for numerus fixus programs typically includes an online assignment and/or test on top of the letter. Dutch government requires a minimum math level (equivalent to IB Math AA HL or A-level Maths) for most engineering programs.
