Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Admitify (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Admitify privacy-first — especially because we serve students.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email, and name if you provide it, used to create and secure your account (via our authentication provider).
• Profile & application content you create — your profile details, college list, drafts, and essays. This is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
• School progress snapshot (school-linked students only) — if you connect to a school with a join code, we sync a limited progress snapshot (your name, grade, and journey progress such as steps completed and counts) so your school can support you. This never includes your essays or writing. Students not connected to a school sync nothing.
• Usage data — anonymous activity counts and basic technical/analytics data used to run and improve the Service.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our third-party payment provider (merchant of record). We do not store your card details.
• AI interactions — the messages and content you send to our AI coach are processed to generate responses (see below).

2. How we use your information

• to provide, personalize, and improve the Service;
• to power AI coaching tailored to your profile;
• to give school-linked students' schools a privacy-safe view of progress (never content);
• to process payments and manage your plan;
• to secure the Service and prevent abuse;
• to communicate with you about your account or the Service.

3. AI processing

To power Addy, the content you send is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. This content is used to provide the response to you; it is not used to train third-party foundation models under our API arrangement. Do not paste information you do not want processed for a response.

4. Service providers we share with

We share limited data only with providers that help us run the Service, including:

• Supabase — authentication and limited account/progress data;
• Anthropic — AI response generation;
• Vercel — hosting and analytics;
• our payment provider / merchant of record — billing;
• our email provider — account and service emails.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Students & minors

Admitify is intended for students aged 13 and older. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are under 18, you should use Admitify with the consent and involvement of a parent, guardian, or your school. Where a school licenses Admitify, it acts on behalf of its students and is responsible for obtaining any required consents. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Schools & counselors

When a student connects to a school, that school's authorized counselors/administrators can see the student's progress snapshot (identity + journey progress). They cannot see essays, drafts, or any writing. Schools are responsible for their own use of this information.

7. Data retention

We keep account and progress data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it for legal reasons. Content stored on your device remains under your control and can be cleared by you at any time.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (including the privacy-by-design choice to keep your writing off our servers). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We operate internationally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect it consistent with this Policy.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email hello@getadmitify.com. You can also clear the content stored in your browser at any time.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
