Admission at Gonzaga University

Gonzaga University admits about 64% of applicants, which makes it less selective. Admission is holistic: four years of transcript and course rigor first, then essays and activities, then recommendations and test scores. Grades and rigor carry most of the decision; well-written essays and a clear intended major help at the margin.

GCC applicants: international curricula (IB, American Diploma with APs, A-levels) are read in their own terms. English proficiency tests are usually waived for English-medium schools; check the university's waiver rule. Saudi students on a Ministry scholarship should confirm the programme is on the approved list before applying Early Decision.

   A Gonzaga education promotes dedication to human dignity, social justice, diversity, global engagement, solidarity with the vulnerable, and environmental stewardship. Reflecting on these values, how have you shown your commitment to standing for and with others in your actions?

2. Presidential Speaker Series essay (choose one)300 words

   Gonzaga's Presidential Speaker's Series invites leaders from around the world (such as LTC Olga Custodio, America's first Latina military pilot or Cotopaxi founder Davis Smith) to share their work and passions with the GU community. If you were able to invite any living person to come and speak to the GU community, who would it be? Why would you want to invite them?

3. Nursing applicants essay800 words

   What experiences have led you to choose the field of nursing? Why do you believe nursing is a good career path for you?
