Admission at Case Western Reserve University

Case Western Reserve University admits about 30% of applicants, which makes it selective. Admission is holistic: four years of transcript and course rigor first, then essays and activities, then recommendations and test scores. A strong transcript with rigor in your intended field and specific, personal essays put a well-prepared applicant in range.

GCC applicants: international curricula (IB, American Diploma with APs, A-levels) are read in their own terms. English proficiency tests are usually waived for English-medium schools; check the university's waiver rule. Saudi students on a Ministry scholarship should confirm the programme is on the approved list before applying Early Decision.

1. PPSP pride essay (PPSP applicants only)750 words

   Describe an event, achievement, or experience of which you are particularly proud but that will not show up on a resume, may not garner any recognition, and does not appear anywhere else on your admission application.

2. PPSP chosen profession essay (PPSP applicants only)250-500 words

   By applying to the Pre-Professional Scholars Program, you are applying to gain admission to professional school earlier than students who apply in the traditional way. Please indicate why you're interested in your chosen profession. How do you see yourself being particularly suited to this field? What events and/or experiences have led you to your choice?
